You’ve surely hit the LOTTERY with teachers and staff like yours!
Now it’s time to have a fun-filled week celebrating in style and clearly communicate that your PTO, students and families have gotten the jackpot with the fabulous staff and teachers.
Decorate the Space
With a theme like the lottery, you have to go BIG and splashy, if not over the top with lots of glitz and glam!
Why not start with a massively impressive balloon display that sets the stage and defines your branding for the week?
Adding some decorations to counters or tables with some height is an easy way to tie together a full room of decor.
This spray of money themed icons is a fun addition to a table our counter.
And if you want to get really fancy, you can decorate from the ceiling down as well with some super fun swirl accents.
Let the staff know you think the school, students and families are the lucky ones by literally spelling it out in your decoration plan with this decor kit.
Set the Table
Keep the color scheme going by setting your tables in green and gold. Because what reminds you more of hitting it big than the colors of money and gold?
Start with table covers that coordinate with your decor.
Matching serving wear will continue your theme even when staff carry plates of food beyond the serving table.
Be sure to have extra napkins on hand throughout the week to make enjoying the treats not a sticky endeavor.
A Plan for the Week
Now that the room is dressed it’s time to have some fun! To make sure you don’t leave the week to chance here are a week’s worth of activities to make this a spectacular appreciation week!
Monday
Start the week off strong by letting the staff try their hand at some games of chance!
Use some game cards like these to guess how many candies are in a container.
Let the winner of the guessing game take the lot of the candy container but make sure all staff get to take home some sweets.
This would be a great day to also make a gold and green candy or dessert bar!
Mints like these that are themed would look great on your tables and everyone would be walking around with fresh breath!
Want to add another element of gaming?
Let staff select numbers and at the end of the day use a lotto ball popper to select winning numbers.
Make winning candy prizes and let them double as decor by using these gold bar boxes.
And now here are some great prize ideas any staff member would absolutely love to win!
Let them ease their stress with a neck and upper back massager.
Or this mini massager ball that they can keep in their office and use as needed throughout the day.
And drift off to sleep stress free with this lavender spray.
Another gift that they’re sure to love are shower steamers.
One last prize suggestion that every school staff or teacher will appreciation is a relaxing eye mask.
Tuesday
One thing that all teachers love is a simple expression of heartfelt gratitude.
Make a day designed to share thanks and create a way for parents and students to share their thoughts by distributing money themed thank you cards.
Another option for thank you cards is this set with six different designs.
Wednesday
Everyone needs a mid-week pick-me-up!
What better for teachers than gifting them some liquid gold of caffeine? Set up a super fun coffee bar to make them feel super special this year.
A coffee and tea organizer will be a staffroom addition that will make them feel appreciated long after Teacher Appreciation Week comes to an end.
Your PTO can also make keeping it stocked throughout the year a daily expression of your appreciation for staff and teachers.
Make sure to stock your coffee station with disposable paper cups they can take on the go.
One more way to make this week extra special is to add some fun syrup flavors for their drinks.
Boost ease of use with a set of syrup pumps.
They’re sure to get lots of use and reduce mess at the same time.
Thursday
While not everyone can win the lottery, you can still make your staff feel like a million bucks by gifting them some simple swag bags!
Teachers will love some pampering items starting with a thank you themed lip balm.
Add in some hydrating lotion they can keep on hand.
And who wouldn’t want to treat their skin to some 24k gold eye mask pampering?
Add some lucky nuggets of chocolate into the mix for a yummy treat.
And how about adding some chocolate coins too?
Wrap these up in a money green bag with some gold tissue paper and you have a gift they won’t forget!
For another addition to the gift bag, consider that no lottery-themed week would be complete without some scratch-offs!
First, decide on a prize like a classroom grant and fill out a giant check. This can be displayed all week as a piece of decor too!
You can use premade scratch-off game cards to determine the big winner.
Or if your PTO wants to get extra fancy, make your own game cards with some scratch-off stickers to make winning cards for as many prizes and winners as you want.
You can even wrap the up in some super cute THANKS A LOTTO envelopes!
Friday
End the week with a fabulous luncheon.
Bring in a selection of wraps and sandwiches from a local sub shop and get simple sides like chips and a vegetable tray and yummy dips, for a casual end of the week meal.
Don’t forget to include staff and teachers with dietary restrictions, allergies or preferences and offer gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free options so everyone can enjoy the meal.
Be sure to include a generous spread of deserts and go crazy with the decorations on them.
Cupcakes are an easy thing for volunteers bake ahead to donate.
Unify the donations by giving all volunteers the same gold cupcake liner to use.
And top each off with some fun green and gold sprinkles.
And add to the display with some jackpot themed cupcake toppers.
Brownies are another crowd pleasers and you can add the bling with some edible gold glitter.
Over To You!
A week of lottery-filled fun is sure to be a hit with all your teachers and staff, especially as you celebrate the school as the true winners, benefitting from all of the goodness they impart on every aspect of the community.
From delicious food to fun games and prizes, a lottery themed staff appreciation week is sure to be a win-win for everyone and is a fantastic option for celebrating them all week long!
