Having trouble with one of our resources? Boo to tech troubles! Here’s some help to get things straightened out quickly:
I can’t open or edit the files.
You’ll need to uncompress the zip file first before you can view or edit the actual files. On a PC, right click on the zip file and choose “Extract.” If you don’t see that option, check out this article that has directions for other methods of unzipping files on a computer or phone: http://www.wikihow.com/Unzip-a-File
I can’t edit the Word template, it’s locked, or giving an error message.
Check for and dismiss the security pop up near the top of your computer’s screen. It’s an automatic warning Microsoft adds to internet downloaded files. The file is clean and virus free, and after dismissing the warning, you will be good to go.
Pages are printing with missing letters, extra lines or weird characters.
Check for an update for your printer drivers or Adobe Reader. Here’s an article that explains more.
